Dexus Warehouse Aluminium Facade and Screening Package Brisbane

Date

2024

Location

Hemmant, Brisbane

Builder

Xenia Constructions

Skyline Facades delivered a complete aluminium façade and screening package for the Dexus Warehouse in Hemmant, Brisbane. Designed, fabricated, and installed in-house, the system includes locally extruded sun blades, timber-look feature battens and privacy screens, all certified with RPEQ sign-off and supplied with Form 12 and Form 15. The result is a clean, robust warehouse cladding solution that softens western exposure, hides services, and complements the industrial setting with durable, low-maintenance materials.

Key Design & Installation Highlights
All elements were fully designed, fabricated, supplied and installed in-house. Vertical Sun blades (440x75mm) more than 300 linear metres (roughly 2.5 tonnes) of aluminium, mounted on discreet stand-off brackets. Benefits: softens Brisbane's harsh western sun, cuts glare for occupants and creates a tidy vertical rhythm that tracks the afternoon light.

Spotted-Gum Battens (100x50mm) more than 350 linear metres (roughly 1.5 tonne) of timber-look aluminium on a Monument-Matt frame. Benefits: delivers natural warmth without termites, repainting, or warping, an elegant contrast to the industrial façade.

Privacy & Services Screens (65x15mm) 180m² of slatted aluminium panels around breakout courts and bin bays. Benefits: provide airflow and privacy, hide services, and clip together quickly like oversized LEGO® for minimal site disruption.

Every element, sun blades, battens, and screen, was conceived, fabricated, and installed by our in-house team, backed by RPEQ sign-off and handed over with Form 15 and Form 12. The result is a locally sourced aluminium facade that works as hard as the warehouse it protects, durable, low-maintenance, and distinctly Dexus.
